| Comment | The National collection contains О1 and non О1 Vibrio cholerae strains isolated in Ukraine for last 40 years and strains received from international collections. In the National collection, there is storage and maintenance of live functions of pathogenic vibrios as well as planned periodic genetic and bacteriological investigations of strains. The Collection constantly is filled up with new О1 and non О1 Vibrio cholerae strains from all regions of Ukraine that are investigated in reference-laboratory for diagnostics and identification of cholera agents and other pathogenic vibrios of the Ukrainian Anti-Plague Station. The electronic informational database on biological properties of О1 and non О1 Vibrio cholerae strains that is permanently updated with results of ongoing research of various pathogenic vibrios features is created. |
